The Blue-winged Mountain-tanager (Anisognathus somptuosus) (yellow belly and top of head; blue-black upper feathers and tail) is a species of bird in the Thraupidae family, seen here at the lower elevations (about 1400 meters) of Bellavista Cloud Forest Reserve, near Quito, Ecuador, South America. It is generally found in Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, and Venezuela in subtropical or tropical moist montanes.
