The Whistlers Tramway and hike

We hiked up 4000 feet and took the Tramway down.

Peltigera lichen is a fungus that incorporates cells of algae or cyanobacteria (blue-green algae), which lend their colors to the tissue. Peltigera lichen look like big flakes of peeling paint.

Columbia Icefield

Columbia Icefields Center, Alberta, Canada 
With the Athabasca Glacier behind us, on a glorious sunny day we depart on bicycles from Columbia Icefield Visitor Center near Sunwapta Pass (6676 feet), then bicycle south 43 miles to Waterfowl Lakes (bicycle trip Leg #3), Jasper National Park.
