The Whistlers Tramway and hike
We hiked up 4000 feet and took the Tramway down.

Peltigera lichen is a fungus that incorporates cells of algae or
cyanobacteria (blue-green algae), which lend their colors to the
tissue. Peltigera lichen look like big flakes of peeling paint.

Columbia Icefield
With the Athabasca Glacier behind us, on a glorious sunny day
we depart on bicycles from Columbia Icefield Visitor
Center near Sunwapta Pass (6676 feet), then bicycle south 43 miles to
Waterfowl
